Alpine ARTtime at the Gurgl Carat
Creative perspectives at almost 2,000 metres
Art meets the Alpine region. Twice a year, the Gurgl Carat is transformed into a stage for contemporary art during Alpine ARTtime.
National and international artists such as Leon Löwentraut, Hannah Philomena Scheiber, James Skone and Alexander Maria Lohmann have already been guests.
At Alpine ARTzeit, art, architecture and mountain scenery merge into an experience with vision and impact – in the middle of the highest event village in the Alps.
VERNISSAGE: 12 December, from 2 pm
As part of Alpine ARTtime, Gurgl Carat is exhibiting works by Iris Marisa Neuner and Marlene Mayer. Two artists who blend light, fabric and emotion into art in different ways.
Neuner presents her series ‘GIA’ – inspired by the bokeh effect in photography. Soft colour gradients and abstract islands of light invite you to pause and reflect.
Mayer – a master dressmaker originally from the Ötztal valley – combines fashion and art in unique couture pieces that bridge tradition and modernity.
The vernissage will take place on 12 December 2025 at 14:00 at Gurgl Carat. Admission is free.
Exhibition: open every Tuesday at 20:30 (12 December 2025 – 6 January 2026)
About Iris Marisa Neuner
Inspired by the bokeh effect in photography, Iris Marisa Neuner transfers the interplay of light and blur to high-quality natural linen in her GIA series – intuitively, organically and without digital means. Gentle colour gradients and deliberate white space create abstract islands of light that invite you to pause and feel the poetry of the moment.
She has been presenting her contemporary art in collaboration with Westwing for over ten years. Her works, appreciated by fashion designer Anine Bing among others, have found fans worldwide – over 47,000 people follow her on Instagram. Her works have been shown internationally in exhibitions and are also used in hotels, private homes and doctors' surgeries – often in collaboration with architects.
Today, the artist lives and works in her Munich studio, where each work is created with passion and creativity.
About Marlene Mayer
Marlene Mayer (née Scheiber) is originally from Umhausen in the Ötztal valley in Tyrol and has lived in Salzburg for many years, where she founded her studio ‘Das Kleid’ in 2012. Here she creates unique pieces that interweave fashion and art.
As a master dressmaker and designer, she devotes herself to bridal and evening couture. Those moments in life when clothing is more than just an item of clothing. Her designs combine precision craftsmanship with a timeless aesthetic that expresses the character and history of the wearer.
In addition to her unique couture pieces, Marlene Mayer also designs a prêt-à-porter line aimed at customers looking for an extraordinary dress for special occasions. This collection combines exclusivity and elegance with wearable lightness.
Her work is an expression of an attitude: tailoring as an art form that preserves tradition while opening up new spaces. With a love of detail, a feel for materials and the courage to break new ground, she creates designs that balance between classic and modern, between craftsmanship and art.

About Leon Löwentraut
Leon Löwentraut has made a name for himself in the art world at an impressive speed. New York, London, Zurich, Vienna, Copenhagen, Florence – his exhibition openings are spectacular events with a performance character...
"I prefer to paint at night in my studio, when the world outside is quiet, taking a break. I enjoy the feeling of boundless freedom, that magical moment. I put on the right soundtrack, classical, soul, R&B, electro – depending on my mood. Let's go! Just music, colours, thoughts – until the early hours of the morning.
Painting, painting, painting. That's my life. For me, it's as essential as breathing. Art means freedom to me. My goal: to artistically transcend the boundaries of time."
Born in Kaiserslautern, Löwentraut, who has been painting since the age of 7, lives and works near Düsseldorf.
