Audi FIS Ski World Cup
The winter kick-off in a class of its own
When the world's best slalom skiers compete in Gurgl in November, excitement fills the crisp mountain air. The Kirchenkar slope in Hochgurgl offers a 210-metre vertical drop – close to the maximum for slalom – starting at 2,475 metres and finishing at 2,265 metres. It is a course that demands precision and is guaranteed to give you goosebumps. Due to its high altitude, Gurgl, as a non-glacier ski area, is able to host a World Cup race particularly early in late autumn – a rare combination of top-class sport and alpine scenery.
Around the race, the Gurgl Carat provides atmospheric evenings and a varied supporting programme – the perfect meeting place for fans and teams in the heart of the event village of Gurgl.
22. – 23. November 2025
The Audi FIS Ski World Cup will once again be stopping off in Gurgl in winter 2025/26 – with two thrilling slalom races on the Kirchenkar in Hochgurgl. On Saturday, 22 November, the men will compete on the challenging Kirchenkar piste, and on Sunday, 23 November, the women will also battle it out for hundredths of a second and placings on the same course. The finish area is spectacularly located around 320 metres above the Top Mountain Crosspoint.
Away from the race track, the sporting event continues at the Gurgl Carat: our modern congress and event centre in Obergurgl is the venue for exclusive evening events throughout the World Cup weekend.
